Jesus, The King of Glory

Ps 24:7 ¶ Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Ps 24:8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

Ps 24:9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Ps 24:10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory.

Did you know that this is talking about Jesus? These prophetic passages are talking about the last Adam, the "second man", Jesus. For the first time ever, a MAN came up to those heavenly gates and said those wonderful words. You can see the angels saying "Who is this King of glory?", and the Lord Jesus replying "The LORD strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle, Lift up those everlasting doors so that the King of glory can come in." Can you see the look on their faces? What MAN is worthy to come through those doors? Then Jesus walks boldly through the gates and up to the throne, and sits down at the right hand of His Father and says "It is Finished", and the Father says "Yes Son, it is finished indeed". Jesus had by one offering on that tree, put away forever the sin of the world. Jesus the man, the Son of God, the Lord of hosts, and the King of glory.

In churches today we usually view Jesus as a man getting whipped and humiliated, finally nailed to a cross, which is all very important seeing how He, who knew no sin, suffered so unjustly for our redemption, but today I would like to write about a victorious, strong, mighty, all powerful King and Lord of all, because this is how we will see Him when He returns. He will be the "Man that sat on the horse" (rev 19:19) that will make war and defeat the kings of the earth and slay their armies and will as it is written in 2Th 1:8 return with His mighty angels in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God and obey not His gospel (2Th 1:8). I want to talk about this man...

Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

Heb 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

This is the Man I want to talk about...

Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, CROWNED WITH GLORY AND HONOUR; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

We see Jesus crowned with glory and honour! Adam was once crowned with glory and honour but when sin entered, we lost the glory. We all fall short of the glory. But not Jesus. He was crowned with glory and honour because He was absolutely righteous. Jesus loved rightousness and hated iniquity.

Heb 1:9 Thou (Jesus) hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

I love how it ends;

Re 19:11 ¶ And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Re 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Re 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Re 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

What a MAN! What a Saviour! What a High Priest! If all of the angels, cherubim, seraphim, powers and principalities, in heaven and on earth turned on Jesus to fight against Him, they would have no more a chance then a grasshopper versus a hippopotamus. It would be as futile as beating the wind with one's fist.

This is the Jesus I serve. I know that He is all powerful and unchanging for eternity and He is not ashamed to call me brother. Friends, This same Jesus loves me! Why, I ask myself sometimes. Why would this King of glory love me? What have I done to deserve this love I ask myself? Nothing have I done, and that causes me to want Him evenmore. To know that only by His grace, am I saved, is awesome. It sure makes me feel better to know that its all Jesus. Oh, what would I give to catch just a glimpse or, to touch the hem of the garment of my Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ...

Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Eph 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

If our older brother, and friend Jesus be for us, who can be against us? Who can stand against His mighty power? If ten thousand come against me, what can they do against His power? And with His righteousness imputed to us, how can we fail? No, with this King of glory we never need to fear and can with complete confidence walk through this life knowing that if we keep looking to Jesus, then we will soon be together in glory with Him.

Romans 4:5 To him that worketh not but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

It's a FREE GIFT. Dwell on that, FREE GIFT! You cannot do anything to earn it and and the only people the gift is offered to, is THE UNGODLY! This means YOU! This is wonderful news and you don't have to DO ANYTHING, just believe. It's not what you do my friend, it's what He has done... Tetelesti. It is finished.

THE MAN JESUS!

1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Today I want to talk about Jesus! Today I want to talk about THE MAN. Could there possibly be a more wonderful subject to talk about? Well we all know that Jesus is the Son of God, but today I want to focus on the Man. Have you ever wondered why Jesus consistently referred to himself as "the Son of man"? When we think of Him, we always think of the Son of God. What was His point?

All human beings are sons of men. We are all descendants of Adam. We all have a father. Some people may not know who there father is, but everyone has one. Jesus had a Father too, God, but He was born of woman. The difference between us and Jesus was that the seed planted in Mary was from the Father (God), not from man. The bible says that Jesus was the first begotten Son of God, the same way we are begotten of our father. I do not want to dwell on this but I think it is important to add that the virgin Mary was not penetrated, but there was literal sperm from God, that mixed with her human egg. So from the point of the seed mixing with the human egg, everything happened the same way that it always happens with any human birth. The bible says this is a big mystery but I would add that this, or any information about our Saviour is vital, because how the Gospel unfolds, further personalizes Him to us. So why did Jesus keep promoting His humanity, not His deity? And why after healing someone, did Jesus tell them not to tell anyone? Why at first, did He not want anyone to know that He was God in the flesh? These are wonderful questions that need explaining and there is great power in this knowledge of the Man Christ Jesus.

Mt 16:13 ¶ When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the SON OF MAN am?
Mt 16:14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
Mt 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
Mt 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Mt 16:20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

Why did He say to tell no man that He was the Son of God? I will see if I can explain this. I do not understand all this myself, but like a man once said "I don't understand electricity but I won't stand in the dark until I do". Well before Jesus was the Son of man, He was God. He has always been God and He always will be God and He came to earth because as the Son of God, Jesus has access to God, but not to man. So to have access to man, He had to become a man. To have authority on earth He had to become a man because God gave man (Adam) and his descendants, power and authority over the earth. So in order to save us sinners, Jesus came to this earth to be our attorney, and in order to have the power of attorney, He had to become one of us. He had to have access to the court. Without becoming one of us, Jesus had no power or authority on earth to save. As the Son of God only, the cross and death would not have meant anything. God is without form, and a spirit and you cannot kill or nail a spirit to a tree. The death sentence had to be upon the man.

1Cor 15:21 For since by man (Adam) came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

Therefore we see that it was the MAN Jesus that died and was resurrected.
But if Jesus was only a man, then He could have saved just one person, a life for a life, so He also had to be deity to make His life worth more then everyone else's put together. You see, Jesus lived our life so that we could live His. He, the Son of man, died in our place so that we could in Him have eternal life. He became our sin so that we could become His righteousness. From the first Adam, death passed upon all. From the second Adam (Jesus), life and righteousness passed upon all men unto eternal life. Thinking of this, some words come to mind from a Charles Wesley hymn,"Amazing love, how can it be? That thou my God should die for me". Amazing is it not?

1Cor 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Another point, we who are born again are no longer of Adam. This may be a shocker to some of you because you have never heard this before. Our old man, our flesh, everything that was in Adam, is dead. Plain and simple. When Jesus died, all that was in Adam died. We who are saved are now a total and complete new race of people! In Christ we are members of a new man and a new creature.

2Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Now lets see what the bible says about who might be seated at the right hand of power in heaven.

Mt 26:63 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

Mt 26:64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the SON OF MAN sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

In other words Jesus says to the high priest, "you said it, I am the Son of God but hereafter you will see a Son of man seated at the right hand of power"! That was absurd! A man seated at the right hand of God?! That's right, and what a MAN! It is the MAN Christ Jesus seated in heaven right now! It is one of us, that is at the right hand of power! The MAN Jesus has gone on before. The firstborn from the dead that in all things He might have preeminence. This is fist- pumping, knee slapping stuff! Wow!

Heb 2:14 ¶ Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Heb 2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Heb 2:18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

We see that in becoming a man like us Jesus destroyed the power of death which is the devil, delivered us from the fear of death which kept us in bondage, and succoured us who were tempted.

You may ask why this is important to me? Why does it matter that Jesus became one of us? Well, besides all I have already covered? It matters to me because I can identify with Him as man. I cannot identify with Him as God. For instance, when I hear people say that Jesus could not have sinned because He was the Son of God, it bothers me. If He could not have sinned then how could He still be tempted? No, Jesus was fully man, fully capable of sinning, the first begotten from the Father, born of woman and in every way tempted as we are and yet without sin. And Jesus the man, died for me, went to hell, and rose again so that He could bring many sons into glory and make the captain of our salvation perfect through sufferings (Heb 2:10) and that is why I love Him. My hope while writing this is that everyone reading this will also love Him with all their heart. Thinking of loving Jesus reminds me of another song.

What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see, when I look upon His face, the one who saved me by His grace, and when He takes me by the hand, and leads me through the promise land, what a day, glorious day that will be.

Yes, what a day that will be when we will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of glory!

And You Hath He Quickened!

Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Col 2:13 ¶ And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

What a great subject! Let that roll around in your mind for a while. Are you quickened (made alive) dear reader? Are you risen with Christ? If you're saved then you are. I know I am. My life is hid in Him, which means my salvation is pretty secure. I was once dead in trespasses and sins but I have been quickened! I love saying that! Maybe you don't fully understand these statement of being quickened and risen with Christ and like some people might even try to turn these passages into some sort of spiritual philosophy. Some people put a weird eastern philosophical spin behind everything and do not understand what it means to be "in Christ", and believe that this is a "subjective position" that we have entered into. The bible is full of these phrases like "ye are dead, ye have been quickened, ye are risen, ye are translated," all in the past tense. These are wonderful passages that Paul wrote to us, that he got straight from God, and are literal promises that all believers ought to live by about what God did to us in His Son. I take all God's promises objectively even though I have not received them, but have seen them from afar, and take great strength knowing that I am quickened, risen, my old man is dead and I am alive unto God. I am a new creature in Christ and because of the promises of God I am also a partaker of the divine nature.

So how did God do all this? It is the biggest hurdle God ever faced. It was the problem of justifying ungodly people like us and still being just. Only He, was able to accomplish this feat. He had to become one of us. He had to humble himself and become a man. He had to live as a man, be tempted in every way as a man and yet be without sin, obeying the law completely. Then He had to become a sacrifice for all, at the hand of sinful man and shed His blood to satisfy His own justice, because we know without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin, and in order to justify us, God had to raise His Son up again in victory. Then He takes all those who are saved and have faith in the blood, and baptizes them all into one new man, Christ Jesus. You then see the parallel here? When Jesus was crucified, we who believed were crucified, when He arose, we arose, when He ascended, we ascended, where He is seated at the right hand of the throne of God, so also are we. Jesus is our life and when He will appear the second time, we also will appear with Him in glory. I hope this is sinking in. JESUS IS OUR LIFE! Literally! Dwell on that point. Meditate on it. I cannot stress this enough, that objectively, He is our life. Man, this is good stuff!
Therefore in light of this I do not worry or fear about the sinking economy or global warming or how big my pension is, or even if Iran will launch a nuclear missile at us because the bible says that I am already dead.

Ro 8:10 ¶ And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Ro 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Again, Christ IS OUR LIFE and I know that He cannot die again, so I would confidently, almost arrogantly say that our eternal salvation (those who are born again) is so completely secure that no one can remove us from Him! Who shall separate me from the love of Christ? Who shall lay any charge to God's elect? Who is he that condemns? It is Christ who sits on the right hand of God who makes intercessions for me.
My hope is when you are reading this it will cause you to take great joy in God's word that WE ARE DEAD, QUICKENED, AND RISEN WITH CHRIST!

Col 3:1 ¶ If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

So in light of the fact that we are risen with Christ, we should seek those things that are above, where Christ is, who is also our life. That is an important command because when I put my affections or attention on myself or the things of this world, I get depressed pretty soon, but if I look to Jesus I feel only gratitude and joy. I hope you too will place your attention and affection on Jesus and quit looking at yourself. If you then are quickened and risen with Him may you grow also in the knowledge of Him, in full assurance, moving on to perfection.

Conversation With A Sinner

Christian: Do you know that God has a plan, He wants a family of His own, of sons and daughters who love and respect Him, but there is only one problem, sin has gotten in the way, sinful man cannot enter into the presence of God (heaven) because God is completely Holy and Just.

Sinner: But how can God justify wicked men and forgive their sins?

Christian: Because of what God did when He sent His Son Jesus, who lived 33 years of a complete sinfree life of obedience to His Father and died on a cross, where He bore the full brunt of His wrath and became sin for us. He shed His blood and took the punishment meant for us and took our sins to the grave with Him.

Sinner: But how can one man Jesus die for everyone?

Christian: Because His life is worth more than everyone combined because Jesus is not only fully man, He is fully God.

Christian: Do you know that God gave us laws so that we know what He expects from us? Have you ever lied, or stolen?

Sinner: Yes, I have.

Christian: So what does that make you?

Sinner: A liar and a thief I suppose.

Christian: So you know the wrath of God abides on you because you have broken His law? So if you died right now where would you go?

Sinner: Yes, I have broken His laws and I would go to Hell!

Christian: So what do you want to do?

Sinner: I want to go to Heaven and not to Hell!

Christian: So what do you suppose you should do about it?

Sinner: I don't know. Should I get baptized?

Christian: Have you done that before?

Sinner: Yes

Christian: Did that work last time? Did you have assurance?

Sinner: No, I guess not. Well should I say a prayer and ask Jesus into my heart?

Christian: Have you done that before?

Sinner: Yes

Christian: Were you sincere?

Sinner: I think so.

Christian: If you were more sincere and really got broken and maybe got a witness to your sincerity, do you think then He would save you, or would it change anything?

Sinner: No, probably not. (dejected)

Christian: Well, continue on then, what should you do?

Sinner: Should I confess my sins?

Christian: Have you done that before?

Sinner: Yes

Christian: Did He forgive you?

Sinner: I don't know.

Christian: Well maybe if you pray and read your bible more and really fervently ask God to save you or maybe if you ask Him to forgive you again, might He not save you then? Or do you think it will make a change in you?

Sinner: No it won't. I'll just continue sinning and confessing forever! That is all I do is sin and confess and I'm miserable!

Christian: So what do you want to do?

Sinner: I want to be a Christian and go to heaven!

Christian: Well is there anything you can do, to be a saved?

Sinner: NO, I'm lost! It's hopeless!

Finally we are getting somewhere.

Christian: What has Jesus done so you can get saved?

Sinner: Well He died on a cross.

Christian: For who?

Sinner: For everyone.

Christian: Just for everyone?

Sinner: For me.

Christian: And what did He do with your sin?

Sinner: Well He took it into the grave.

Christian: So where is it now?

Sinner: In the grave! (starting to smile)

Christian: So if you would die today, where would you go?

Sinner: To Heaven! (Sinner overjoyed! Just got saved without a prayer!)

To Hell With The Sinner's Prayer!

Today I am declaring WAR ON THE SINNERS PRAYER. We in North America have reduced salvation down to asking Jesus into our heart and it is sending people to HELL in droves. I have briefly talked about this in other posts but I want to expound into this doctrine of devils. Some of you might be thinking that I am being awfully harsh. I am going to be really harsh, and I would also say to you friend that I am ANGRY also! There is few topics that make me as angry as this one, and I would challenge anyone reading this that disagrees with me to show me from scripture where it says you get saved by a prayer. The reason this topic riles me is because I also was deceived by the devil into believing this abominable lie and thought that I was saved when I was living in sin and had not the Spirit of Christ. I will dig deeper into this heresy and suggest that there is many goats among the sheep and this is the root of the problem. You have unsaved people who themselves have been deceived into believing this lie who are telling other people how to get saved. You have pastors and preachers reducing the GLORIOUS GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST into a prayer. Do you not see this friend? Do you not see that this "sinners prayer" is taking the place of our Saviour on the Cross? Does this not make you angry? Let me ask you some questions friend, the last dozen times you asked Jesus into your heart, did He come? The last hundred times you confessed your sins, did He forgive you? And if He did, how do you know for sure? Do you not see that if your sins are forgiven because you confessed them and your saved by saying a prayer then you have no need of Jesus or the Cross? Do you not see that when Jesus died He took your sins to the grave? So where are your sins? They are gone for ever!
Modern Christianity has reduced the Gospel into something YOU do.
Being BORN AGAIN is the work of God!

Joh 6:28 ¶ Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Joh 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Let me bring your attention to what Jesus says here "THIS IS THE WORK OF GOD, THAT YE BELIEVE ON HIM WHOM HE HATH SENT." It is the WORK OF GOD!
So "what action must I do to get saved?" some might ask. Well lets go to the Word of God.

Ro 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Nothing! "To him that worketh not but believeth". God has made salvation completely void of all action on your part. If your not saved you are feeling pretty helpless right now, aren't you? That is good. You see friend God wants ALL the glory. He does not leave any glory for you so that you might be able to brag, like saying "you already did that". You did no action to get saved. NOBODY EVER GOT SAVED BY SAYING A PRAYER!!! You heard the Word of God and willingly put your trust in what He did, in sending His dear Son to drink the cup of the Father's wrath that was meant for you! He suffered and shed His precious blood for YOU, so that He might reconcile all those that believe in Him, in one body, by the cross. He then rose again, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven, waiting until His enemies be made His footstool. Again, if you are saved then you believed that, and that alone, is why you are saved! If I were to ask you reader, how you know you are saved, what would you say? Let have some reflection. If you would say "because when I was ten I prayed a prayer", then dear sir you are not saved or born again, you are on your way to Hell! If your first thought was anything but "the precious blood of Jesus" or something along those lines then you need to get saved or you will face the full wrath of God. Only by belief in the blood atonement made for sinners is there salvation, and NOTHING ELSE. Maybe you are hearing this for the first time because you have been decieved by this doctrine of devils, and your thinking, "well even a child can do that", well then you finally get it. It is a living in the faith that Jesus paid your debt, and anyone can do it. It is by GRACE THROUGH FAITH in the LORD JESUS. You cannot earn it do you see that? Jesus already earned it for you! Let me give you a poor example. You fell off the ship into the water and there is only ONE lifeline. Will confessing save you? Will a prayer save you? No, only the lifeline will save you. Just GRAB THE LINE! Look to Jesus! Only JESUS CAN SAVE! A PRAYER CANNOT SAVE! CONFESSING YOUR SINS CANNOT SAVE! WITHOUT THE SHEDDING OF BLOOD IS NO REMISSIONS! What can wash away your sins, NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS!
If you are a professing Christian today and you are telling people that they can be saved by "asking Jesus into their heart", you are leading them straight to HELL. There is no gospel there, no assurance there, and no salvation. I pray the Holy Spirit would reveal this to everyone that reads this, if they did not already know. I hope I have made myself clear on this matter, but if there is any questions, please leave a comment.

The Matter Of Sin

I have written a little on this subject and if you have read my other posts you will know that I come back to this subject quite often. I have read in the bible, especially from the apostle Paul about how we are freed from sin. Well before I was saved I would read this and not understand it because it was not a reality in my life. I was not free from sin, and I thought I was saved, so I figured that this could not mean what it says. Often I would do this when reading the scriptures, just thinking that it could not possibly mean what it says, and move on. Is that not how we all think before we are born again? It did not even register to me that just because it was not true in my reality, did not mean that it was false. So I would continue sinning and confessing and sinning and confessing and striving to gain God's acceptance. If I had continued on this path I would never have had assurance and lived a miserable life and spent eternity in hell. This is where the story gets good. Well I got born again and started living by faith and stopped sinning. That is it. In my reality I looked to Jesus and saw what He did for me on the cross, the blood that was shed, the atonement that was made on my behalf. I read in Romans chapter six how when He died, He destroyed the body of sin (His flesh) and and rose again and went to heaven in glorious triumph. Jesus did not only suffer and die on the cross to give us salvation and then leave us, but He destroyed the body of sin thereby freeing us. See all our sin went on Him and He became sin, so when His flesh was crucified, the body of sin was destroyed. We then when we believed were baptized into His body. But you might say dear reader, so what does that have to do with me and my addiction to sin? Well, there are only two reasons that you are addicted to sin, either you are not saved or you have briefly fallen into sin because you are not believing God. If you are saved but you walk after the flesh the bible says you will die (Romans 8). A "born again" Christian is not addicted to anything! You may say friend "well I am addicted to pornography, fornication, and I have this anger issue". Why? Why if you are sanctified by the blood of Christ and have put your trust in what He did for you, are you addicted to this sin?

Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Why if Christ having freed you from that are you still bound by it? Why are you praying that God should release you from your bonds of sin when you have already been freed? What is keeping you in bondage is your prayers. Stop accusing and blaming God for not releasing you from your sin when He already HAS! You need to stop praying and start believing God! YOU ARE TO RECKON YOUR BODY DEAD to sin and alive to God!

Ro 8:10 ¶ And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Ro 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Ro 8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
Ro 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

I want to make another subject abundantly clear. This is absolute bible truth! If you live in sin then you are of the Devil! If you are walking, talking and dressing like the world and if you have no desire for spiritual things (Jesus, the cross, the blood atonement made on your behalf, the bible) then you are of the world and the Spirit of Christ is not in you and you have no right to call yourself a Christian. Your profession of faith means nothing! When a person gets "born again" he starts walking in holiness and living unto God. He becomes a new creature in Christ and he "sins not." He stops living in sin because of his faith in Christ, that he walks in daily. I am not referring to "sinless perfection" which would state that we no longer have the ability to sin. We still in our reality have the same body with the same temptations but we reckon ourselves to be dead indeed and alive unto God. I am stating the fact that there is a regeneration that happens in a new believer, where he hates the things he used to do, and now seeks after righteousness and holiness. From time to time we might slip up and sin but God will chasten us immediately and we will turn again to God (which is new testement repentance) and stop sinning. If you can continue in sin and are not chastened by God then are ye bastards and not sons.

Heb 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

So if today, dear reader, you are living a life of sin and living in the flesh please I beg you, Do not call yourself a Christian! If there is no regeneration, then there is no Christian. This "ability" to stop sinning is a miraculous work of God. It is a greater miracle than divine healing and it is accessable by anyone who has the Spirit of Christ and is "born again". But if you truly are born again and have fallen into sin, STOP! Read your bible (Romans 6-8) and believe what it says! Live in the faith of what God's word says and thank Him daily or hourly for freeing you from sin and you will "sin no more".

Romans 4:5 To him that worketh not but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Salvation is Conditional!

What kind of a title is that? That is crazy, bordering on heresy! Or is it? I thought it was "once saved always saved?" Let us clear our minds and take God's word, which is perfectly preserved in the King James Bible and dig deep and find the TRUTH. If you have read my testimony you will know of my deep distrust of all structured, so called Christianity. I will no longer take anyone's word for truth until I have examined it myself and I hope you dear reader will do the same. Salvation is too important to trust any person with except to our Lord Jesus and His word. Amen?
In the book of Colossians, Paul makes it abundantly clear:

Col 1:21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
Col 1:22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
Col 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

So Paul starts off real positive in saying that we were once enemies of God in our minds by wicked works (or sin), and finishes off these first two verses saying that Christ in the body of His flesh has reconciled us to God by the cross, holy and perfect in His sight. Sounds pretty good right? But what follows? If we CONTINUE IN THE FAITH, not being moved away from the HOPE of the gospel. It sounds to me like what I was told on "christian radio" was not true, that if I said a prayer I had a guaranteed one-way ticket to heaven no matter if I stayed in the faith. This is the way I see it. God came down from heaven in the form of a man named Jesus Christ. This MAN then horribly died on a cross where the bible says He bore ALL my sins! So this MAN took the punishment that was meant for me! This means I have His righteousness and He has my sin! Not only that but the Heavenly Father raised Him up again from death and hell and seated Him at the right hand of His throne in glory and honour. And one day He is coming back to take all those that believed in Him to a glorious city that has foundations, whose builder and maker is God, where there will be no more tears or pain or sin, and we will have a great big family reunion where we will see Jesus face to face! I don't know, that sounds pretty good to me. My God died for me so that I might live with him in GLORY! How could I draw back from this? Who would want to draw back from the hope of eternal life? Is it possible to stop believing once this hope and faith is in you? Is it possible to draw back if the Spirit of Christ is in you? If I turned my back on God I reckon I would be so depressed, I would rather not live. I am not talking about missing devotions or church but returning to the life of sin wherein once I was enslaved to. All my joy comes from the knowledge and the promises of God. For me Jesus is not all I need, He is all I have! I would like to suggest that someone who has claimed to be saved and goes back to a life of sin, was never saved in the first place, but Paul would not give us a warning if it were not possible. Lets also keep in mind what we are drawing back from. FAITH and HOPE. So the correct question is not "did you once believe?" but "are you believing today?". The correct question is not "did you once repent (turn to God)?" but "are you still repenting today?"
Moving on, the author of Hebrews had this to say;

Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Heb 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition (damnation) but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Writing on this topic got me to thinking about the apostle Paul, when he was on the ship and a great storm came up. God told Paul to tell the others not to worry, nobody would die. Well the other men were frightened and were going to jump into life rafts, and God told Paul to warn them, that if anyone got off the ship they would die. We know that no one died. Was God right? Of course. Every time. He told them that no one would die, but if anyone were to get off the ship then they would. God warns Christians not to draw back from the faith into perdition. Is He right? Of Course. What am I going to do? Stay in the faith.
Jesus spoke of this in the gospel of John:

John 8:31 ¶ Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
1John 2:24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

We see that Jesus also gives us a warning to let that abide in us which we heard from the beginning. Dear reader, I don't know about you but I am going to abide in the faith until either Jesus returns, or I am present with Him in the spirit and apart from this dead body. I'm going to live in the hope that one day soon Jesus will come and I will be with Him for eternity. And when we have this eternal hope, we can walk without fear of anything or any person. Living with peace and joy in Christ for the rest of our days on this earth with full assurance of our salvation and with confidence that what God promises, He can and will also provide. Grace and Peace be upon you all.
